Course description
The master鈥檚 degree course in Preventive and Adapted Physical Activities answers to specific calls from the Italian territory:
- the age profile of our population is among the oldest on a global scale, with high rates of chronicle diseases, disability and sedentary life, which are connected to important factors of cardiovascular, dysmetabolic and oncologic risks;
- the Adapted Physical Activity (APA/AFA), which includes the activities and sport suitable for each individual who suffers from specific physical conditions is still poorly implemented in the territory intervention plans both on the public and private side;
- the rehabilitation through sport-therapy and the promotion of sport for disabled people require updated skills based on the new upcoming technologies, such as e-training and wearable sensors.
This course aims to shape both primary and secondary preventive physical activity professionals and promote healthy life styles and the successful aging, post-rehabilitation operators for patients with heart diseases and cerebrovasculopathies and physical activity management for subjects who suffer from dysmetabolic diseases (diabetes, obesity鈥) and chronic developmental diseases (Parkinson, multiple sclerosis鈥) and sports professionals specialized in sports for disabled people licensed to operate in both the public (ATS, IRCSS, rehabilitative institutes鈥) and the private (societies for disabled sports, companies in the fitness field, spa, corporate fitness鈥) sectors, with the new qualification of preventive and adapted physical activities kinesiologist (art. 41 G.U. n. 67,听March 18, 2021).
Lessons are held in Italian.
What you need to know
Locally planned admission.
The requirements for the acceptance are:
- first cycle degree in class L-22听 in Physical Activities and Sport Sciences;
- first cycle degree in class L-33 (ex D.M. 509/99), in Physical Activities and Sport Sciences;
- four-year degree in Physical Activities obtained according the former normative (pre-Reform);
- degree obtained abroad and acknowledged as eligible on the physical sports field or with contents coherent with the final purpose of the course.
To be accepted is also required a level B1 knowledge of Italian language.
Once confirmed all the requirements for the acceptance, the individual preparation of each candidate will be verified听according to the methods defined in the didactic regulation of the Course of Study.
If you are a EU National, you may stay in Italy for as long as you like: you only need a passport or ID card.
If you are a NON-EU National, you'll have to carry out some formalities.
